On 12 January 2018, Vishwaguruji was awarded D.Litt (Doctor Litterarum) due to his extraordinary work in the field of Yoga, namely Yoga in Daily Life - the System.

Near Bangalore, in the prestigious university, Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (S-VYASA), the 22nd Annual INCOFYRA international conference took place from 5th to 8th of January 2018.

On 2nd January 2018 in Mumbai, a bhajan and satsang program was organized by Narendra Chaudry of Sirvi Samaj.

Vishwaguruji Swami Maheshwarananadji participated in an important conference of saints, which took place in Mumbai, India, under the name of Vaicharik Mahakumbh - A Thought Conclave.

At the end of the year 2017 in Om Ashram, Vishwaguru Paramhans Swami Maheshwaranandaji organized traditional prayer ceremonies for World Peace.

On the 14 September 2017, Vishwaguruji Paramhans Sri Swami Maheshwaranandaji was initiated at the holy place of Sri Alakhpuriji's cave, as the successor and heir of the OM Sri Alakhpuriji Siddhapeeth Parampara (lineage).

On 27 December 2017, the respected wife of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Yashoda Ji Bahin, paid a visit to Om Ashram.

The last weekend before Christmas and before Vishwaguruji's winter journey to India, weekend seminar took place in the festively decorated town of Salzburg in Austria.

After the weekend seminar in Strilky, His Holiness Vishwaguru Maheshwaranandaji visited Vép in Hungary, continuing celebrations of the Mahasamadhi (liberation) anniversary of Sri Deep Mahaprabhuji, as well as the approaching festive season holidays.
